Employee Feature: Ted Sirianni

Ted Sirianni is a Business Banker at Minnesota Lakes Bank, where he works with business clients to help them grow and strengthen their financial position. His role includes managing commercial relationships, improving financial structures, and identifying opportunities that allow businesses to move forward. Ted especially enjoys helping customers clean up their finances and build a clear path toward long-term success, which is what drew him to this line of work in the first place.

Ted began his career in mortgage lending and was hired by a community bank in 2008 to run their mortgage operations during the recession. That experience shaped how he views banking. He saw firsthand the difference between large institutions and community banks and developed a strong appreciation for the flexibility and relationship-focused approach. Since then, Ted has embraced the mindset of working toward a “yes,” and when that’s not possible right away, helping customers create a plan to get there.

That approach carries into how he works with clients every day. Ted brings an analytical mindset to his role and enjoys diving into the details. He regularly reads industry updates and researches his clients’ businesses so he can better understand their needs. He also likes to ask “did you know?” questions during conversations, showing customers that he’s done the work behind the scenes. His interest in data and problem-solving naturally leads him to spreadsheets and analysis, where he works to uncover insights and identify new solutions.

Since joining Minnesota Lakes Bank four months ago, Ted has quickly connected with the bank’s culture. He enjoys participating in community events and values the strong sense of support across the organization. From leadership to staff, he sees a team that genuinely cares about each other and the communities they serve, which has made the transition into his role especially meaningful.

That same sense of connection carries over into Ted’s life outside of work. His family is a big part of his life. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children, Kennedy and Ben, along with their two dogs. They enjoy spending time together whenever they can, whether traveling, staying active, or simply being at home.

When he’s not working, Ted also enjoys staying active through running, skiing, golfing, and playing pickleball, which gives him a balance between his professional and personal life.

For Ted, community banking is about more than just numbers. “I enjoy helping businesses find a path forward and giving them the tools to grow,” he said. “It’s about building relationships and creating solutions that actually work.”
